Troops in Iraq – Americans largely favor a reduction to the number of troops in Iraq.
Global Warming – Americans are roughly split as to whether or not humans are the cause of global warming.
Immigration – Americans are split on legal immigration; largely opposed to illegal immigration wanting tough regulations against businesses (89%) and are against amnesty by 20% over those that favor amnesty.
Abortion – Americans are pro-choice.
Guns – Americans want gun laws to be more strict at a 5:1 rate over those that want it less strict.
Health Care – Americans want universal health care by about a 2:1 margin.
Minimum Wage – Americans are overwhelmingly in support of an increase to the minimum wage.
Civil Unions – Americans are strongly against equal rights to gay marriages.
Stem Cell Research – Americans loosely favor stem cell research.
Taxes – Americans want lower taxes.

i agree with troop withdrawl, its trespassing to be there.
Global warming needs to be dealt with regardless of whether its nature or humans to blame, even though the scientific consensus is that its primarily humans.
men don’t have a right to put up borders in the first place because the earth doesn’t belong to them. The immigration requirements should be minimal. Also we are all descendants of immigrants, just because we happened to be born here its not like we made a conscious decision to be.
Guns are imperative to a free society. The government is manipulating peoples fears and emotions to disarm the nation. The 2nd amendment exists largely to protect against tyranny which is why the gov’t hates it. Statistically crime always rises where guns are prohibited. Just the very thought that maybe the would-be victim could be armed is a deterrent to the criminal. If guns are banned than with each murder, rape, or robery where one was unable to defend oneself america as a whole will have to share the blame and will have taken part in commission of the crime.
Abortion should be left up to the individual whether its right or wrong is irrelevant it is there body. Otherwise society is guilty of inflicting their laws on anothers body.
minimum wage needs to be regional
Civil unions for everyone period, the government should not be involved in marriage. if people want marriage let them go to a church but it shouldn’t have legal status.
All opposition to stem cell research is entirely religious and has no realistic basis.
Federal income tax is illegal and should be abolished, and it should be allowed that people choose which services their taxes fund.
