Is stem cell research is the window to future and finding cures for all the devistating diseases that plague?
If there are stem cells in the placenta why cant they be harvested that way? Daily.
there are different types of stem cells and not all of them can differentiate into every cell type in the body. Stem cells can be harvested from the placenta but they are very limited in their ability to differentiate. The problem is that the “best” stem cells come from fetuses early in development because those do turn into pretty much every type of cell. This is a big moral dilemma because people don’t believe that human lives should be used for research. I could go on for hours on my standpoint but I wont. I’ll just say i’m very liberal.
