Do you understand *how* the federal embryonic stem cell research funding ban works?
It doesn’t just ban funding for embryonic stem cells – it bans ALL federal funding for any researcher or organization that engages in embryonic stem cell research.
If they’re doing gene research – banned.
If they’re doing adult stem cell research – banned.
If they’re using federal funds at all – they’re banned.
If you were a researcher doing good and useful work to cure disease and help the ill – what would you do?
I’d stop doing embryonic and keep going with the others.
Those cons are tricky eh?
I guess that’s why they’re called “cons”, eh?
Seriously, though, how can the “shrub” veto things he can’t even understand? Who is really behind this atrocity? No wonder the Congress “isn’t doing anything”—everything they try is vetoed!
