What political party should I register to?

I’m Independent and probably won’t change that, but I’m wondering which party suits me more.

Economic Policy:
Pro-Third Way (a centrist comprise between free market capitalism and democratic socialism)
Pro-Tax Cuts for ALL
Pro-Free Trade
Pro-Balanced Budgets
Pro-Avoiding Deficit Spending
Pro-Social Security for new parents, the aged, ill, infirm and the poor (but am in favor of ending the welfare family generation through welfare reform)
Pro-Pensions for the retired
Pro-Single Payer Universal Healthcare

Social Policy:
Pro-Choice
Pro-Access to Family Planning services
Pro-Comprehensive Sex Education
Pro-Stem Cell Research
Pro-LGBT Rights
Anti-Capital Punishment
Pro-Environmental Conservation
Guns, in favor of access to them IF there are licences and background checks

Vote for the candidate you most agree with, not the party you most agree with. There are liberals, moderates, and conservatives in both the republican and democratic parties. I would not register with a specific party unless you need to in order to vote in a primary (in some states). Then just declare the party with the person or people you want to vote for and they will give you the appropriate ballot. Obviously, this can create a problem if you don’t line up with one party all that well. In my opinion, the primary system is pretty poorly constructed.

Possibilities and Polemics
